About ZJ Boarding House 
We started ZJ Boarding House in 1988 as a hole-in-the-wall surf shop on the corner of Ocean Park and Main Street in Santa Monica, California. From the day we opened our doors, we've been set on sharing our passion for surfing with the local community. Before long, skateboarding and snowboarding became welcome additions to our inventory, as well as our lifestyle. Over the years our store has grown in many ways. In addition to the obvious changes, like the Ladies Lounge next door and going online, we have, frankly, increased in numbers to also insure our quality customer service. It seems the only thing that hasn't changed is our enthusiasm for riding boards.
We carry only the finest products and brand names available in the boarding industry today. Surfboards, both short and long, line one side of the shop, while skate decks fill another. In the snowboarding department, a massive selection of snowboards, boots, bindings and loads of winter outerwear share the limelight with a full-service technical shop AKA "TECH HQ". Being avid participants in the sports we promote not only gives us an enormous advantage in knowing about the products, but it gives us an understanding which will best suit our customers and their experience level as well. We're located just steps from the beach in Santa Monica, in the heart of Southern California's boarding culture. We surf, skate and ride pretty much everyday and we demand nothing less than the best from our gear.
At ZJ Boarding House, you can still experience the same stoked attitude that started it all nearly 20 years ago by a few close friends who shared a common love for the ocean. Whether you're picking up a bar of wax before your morning session or dropping off a snowboard to get tuned, we'll see that you leave with a smile!
