ZJ Boarding House is Santa Monica and Los Angeles' premier local and online surf and skate shop. Since 1988, its been our passion to help customers buy top brand surfboards, skateboards, clothing, accessories, and boarding gear; as well as offer surfboard rentals, snowboard rentals and a full service snowboard repair shop.
Our staff is devoted to surfing, skating and snowboarding and they use those passions to help you locally buy only the best surf, skate, stand-up paddle boards, gear and clothing from companies like Billabong, Hurley, Surftech, Firewire Surfboards, Lost, RVCA, Channel Islands, and Element Skateboards.

Ever since our humble beginnings as a hole-in-the-wall surf shop back in 1988, ZJ Boarding House has been sharing its passion for surfing with the local Ocean Park community and beyond. As the store grew both physically and in inventory, the same levels of knowledge and passion were applied to skateboarding and snowboarding.  Our dedication to riding boards, customer service and product knowledge has only increased over the 21 years we have been in business.  We pass on our expertise and knowledge to our customers and help them make the right decisions based on their skill level. We carry all kinds of gear, clothing and accessories from only the top brand names in the industry.  Surfboards, SUPs and skateboards line the walls of the original store, clothing and accessories from a variety of brands located on the floor, and the snowboard tech and rental section also resides here during the winter.  Our Billabong and Hurley flagship stores next door opened in the summer of 2009 and carry all the latest gear from those brands.  We are super stoked to have Billabong and Hurley aboard for the ride! ZJ Boarding House is located just a stone's throw from the beach in Santa Monica, proving grounds for Southern California's boarding culture.  We ride our boards pretty much everyday and demand the best performance from the goods we carry. A few friends started ZJ Boarding House over 20 years ago and you can still experience that same stoked attitude for the ocean, mountains & concrete that they all shared.  Whether you're picking up a bar of wax, replacing some rusty bearings, or dropping off a snowboard to get tuned, we'll see that you leave with a smile.
